Cariparma defeats T&A San Marino in Extra Inning Thriller

CARIPARMA won a thrilling extra inning affair on Thursday evening against SAN MARINO. After twelve scoreless innings to start the match, the outcome was decided in the 13th frame. T&A took a 1-0 lead in the top of the period, when Simone Albanese raced home on a muffed throw by right fielder Ettore Finetti. However it was not enough. Orlando Munoz drove in the tying run with double in the bottom of the inning and scored the game winner on a throwing error by second baseman Francesco Imperiali. PARMA celebrated a 2-1 victory.
Horacio Estrada (SMA) allowed just six hits in seven innings, striking out seven. Hector Mercado (PAR) opposed him and matched him pitch for pitch. He gave up three hits and three walks in seven innings too. Josmir Romero picked up the win after six innings of relief. Peter Nyari took the loss.

Gustavo Martinez struck out ten in eight innings to lead RIMINI to a 2-0 shutout against GODO. He allowed just four hits and a walk, combining with Ilo Bartolucci for a four-hitter. TELEMARKET drove in the game-deciding runs in the bottom of the second period. Juan Melo reached through a one-out triple and scored the first run on a RBI double by Clinton Balgera, who later also came home on a groundout by Leonardo Serafin De Camargo.
Ryan Baerlocher took the loss. He gave up two runs (1 ER) on three hits in six innings.
