by Joe Gray

The LONDON METS hosted the BRACKNELL BLAZERS on Sunday and swept the series to maintain their unbeaten record. The score in the first game was 5-0, with LONDON’s starter Brian Essery conceding just two hits in six innings of work. Ernesto Bolufer was the winning pitcher in game two, which LONDON won by a score of 11-3.

South of the River Thames, the RICHMOND FLAMES won both games at CROYDON, by scores of 4-0 and 10-0. Cody Cain struck out 13 CROYDON batters in seven innings, picking up the shutout win for the FLAMES in game one. Matt Spaulding (4 innings) and Ryan Bird (1 inning) combined for a second shutout in game two. A triple from Grant Delzoppo and a home run from Spaulding put the game out of CROYDON’s reach in a five-run fourth inning.
