Team USA hit four more homeruns in an 11-1 win against the Netherlands Antilles on Monday in Verona. They used a four-run rally in the fifth to take the lead and blew things wide open with six runs in the seventh. Justin Smoak (2-4, 5 RBI) went deep twice, while Jon Weber and Lucas May hit their first homeruns in the tournament.
Kasey Kiker and Lucas Harrell (W 1-0) split time on the mound for Team USA. Kiker started and struck out seven in four innings, allowing one hit, one run and five walks. Harrell closed it out with three one-hit innings. Johannes Gregorius Sr. (L 0-1) issued six hits, five runs and four bb in six innings. He also struck out seven.
