Australia scored three runs in the tenth to beat Canada 5-3 in Novara for their second win in round two of the Baseball World Cup. After Luke Hughes and Rene Tosoni exchanged solo shots in the ninth, Australia regained the lead in the first extra inning on a RBI single by Daniel Berg. Two more runs crossed the plate due to an error. Canada only was able to cut the deficit to 3-5 with a sac fly by Adam Stern. Adam Blackley (AUS) got the start, allowing four hits, one unearned runs and two bb in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven. Jamie Richmond (CAN) only gave up two hits in four scoreless innings. Matthew Williams picked up the win, Jimmy Henderson the loss.
