The Netherlands Antilles clinched the second seed in Pool C of the Baseball World Cup with a 9-5 victory over South Korea. Ardley Jansen of T&A San Marino homered and drove in four. Johannes Gregorius (W 1-0) picked up the win with 6 2/3 solid innings. Won-Sang Yoo (L 0-1) took the loss. South Korea moves up as the number three seed from this group.

After Sweden took a short-lived 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, Canada scored a whopping 19 runs over the next four frames for 19-1 victory and the number one seed. Tim Smith, Jimmy van Ostrand and Adam Loewen hit homeruns. Rene Tosoni collected five RBI. Brooks McNiven (W 1-0) received the win, Rickard Leander (L 0-1) the loss.
