Greece showed probably ist best performance in the 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup, but still had to settle for a 0-3 loss to Team USA. Theodor Bourdaniotis (L, 0-1) and Panagiotis Sikaras were able to keep the strong American squad in check except for a run on a double play in the first and a two-run homerun by Matt Clark in the fourth. But as their offense couldn’t do anything against Drew Smyly, Charles Fick and Randy Williams, they lost for the fourth time in as many games.
