The Netherlands had to suffer their first loss at the 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup. On Saturday afternoon they lost 4-5 to Canada in a rainy Rod Carew Stadium in Panama City. Emerson Frostad decided the game in the 11th inning with a RBI single. Both teams had scored once through sac fly in the tenth. The Dutch team blew a 2-0 lead, but also came back from a 2-3 deficit. They left out a couple of good scoring opportunities. Both teams are now 5-1 in group 1.
