The COLOGNE CARDINALS clinched the last playoff berth in the German Bundesliga on Saturday with an easy 15-1 pounding of the HANOVER REGENTS. The only other question mark was the ranking in the south after HEIDENHEIM. The BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE and the TORNADOS each swept their twin bills and finished in second and third in front of the reigning champion MAINZ ATHLETICS.
The playoffs start next week with the quarterfinals (best-of-five):
