Óbuda Brick Factory defeated last year’s champion Szentendre Sleepwalkers 4-1 in a best-of-seven series. Óbuda pitcher Zsolt ZALABAI had four wins in the series with an ERA of 4.50, striking out 27 in 22 innings. The leading hitter was Roberto MORUA, who hit for a .478 average with three doubles, one triple and eight RBI. ZALABAI hit two homeruns, while Xiaobo XIONG and Jorge FERNANDEZ each hit one home run during the series.
Szentendre catcher Imre ILLÉS hit .412 with four RBI, Balázs NÉMETH had one homerun. The lone win of Szentendre was credited to pitcher Attila VÁRKONYI.
