British Briefing: Herts face touch task to protect NBL lead

British Briefing: Herts face touch task to protect NBL leadWords and images by Joe Gray

The HERTS FALCONS (8-4) take their four-game winning streak to Finsbury Park knowing that they need at least a split of their double-header against the LONDON METS (6-4) to stay at the top of the table. The METS will believe they can take both games on their home field, but the newly promoted FALCONS have proved several times this season that they are ready to capitalize on any signs of weakness from the established National Baseball League (NBL) sides.

The BRACKNELL BLAZERS (5-3) will be looking  to pick up two wins at home as they face the CROYDON PIRATES (0-10) for the first time this season. However, the PIRATES are gaining confidence and have a pitcher, in Jose Sosa, who is capable of quietening the BLAZERS’ bats.
