British Briefing: Herts travel to Bracknell in week 5

Words and images by Joe GrayBritish Briefing: Herts travel to Bracknell in week 5

The BRACKNELL BLAZERS (3-1) will be keen to build on their strong start to the National Baseball League 2009 season when they host a double-header this Sunday against the HERTS FALCONS (3-3). The FALCONS, of course, will be aware that a sweep for them would see the team leapfrog over BRACKNELL in the standings.

The RICHMOND FLAMES (4-2) are set to travel to CROYDON (0-4), although it is not yet clear whether the PIRATES – who have been attempting to rebuild their squad over the past few weeks – will be able to assemble a team in time to take on the FLAMES.

The LONDON METS (4-4) have their first scheduled rest weekend of the season.
