Week 2 of the National Baseball League sees the CROYDON PIRATES travel to play the LONDON METS, while the BRACKNELL BLAZERS play their season opener away to the RICHMOND FLAMES. The HERTS FALCONS have a week off.
CROYDON and LONDON were both swept in their respective double-headers on the opening weekend, and so the teams are looking to register their first win. While the METS would appear to be weaker than the championship-winning squad of 2008, they will still prove to be very difficult for CROYDON to overcome.
BRACKNELL are the unknown force, having not played on the opening weekend. Still, it is probable that they, like the PIRATES, will face a tough trip. They won only one of eight games against the FLAMES in 2008, and the RICHMOND side got off to a strong start in 2009, with a sweep of the METS in week 1.
