The 2014-15 BBF AGM and Congress was held on Saturday 15 November at the Holiday Inn in Leicester, and the emphasis was on positive achievements in 2014 and the future growth of the sport in years to come.
Twenty-four voting members were present, so the meeting was easily quorate, and those members represented 88 votes when it came to voting on motions and electing members of the BBF Board.
The AGM itself was efficiently chaired, for the third year in a row, by British Softball Federation Treasurer Mike Jennings, and finished in less than two hours. At the start of the AGM, Mike asked everyone present to agree that this meeting was regarded as an AGM and that decisions taken by the membership during the meeting would be binding. There were no objections.
Following the formal AGM, sessions and workshop presentations were held on BBF incorporation, national teams, development, a pending “official” ball deal and future visions for British baseball. These were followed by regional and youth breakout meetings and a social event in the evening.
