Brewers will hold open tryouts in Europe in July/August 2008

The MILWAUKEE BREWERS are going to hold three open try-outs in Europe in July and August. It is the second time the Major League organization will do this after a successful premiere last year in Greta Britain. The sessions will be led by scout Sam Dempster, who is also involved in the MLB envoy coach program. The try-outs are open to all interested players in Europe aged 15 through 23.

The first camp is scheduled for Thursday July 3 in Bracknell, Great Britain. It is followed up by Neunkirchen on Sunday July 27 and Szentendre (15 miles north of Budapest), Hungary on Saturday August 3. Each will begin at 10 am local time.

It is a great opportunity for European baseball players to get recognized by a MLB scout. All players will be evaluated and will be entered into the BREWERS scouting database.
