Former Big Leaguer Abraham Nunez rumored to join Montepaschi Grosseto

There were already rumors that Montepaschi Grosseto is interested in former Major Leaguer Randall Simon, who is currently playing in the Venezuelan Winter League. Now it seems that the Orioles have turned towards another big leaguer, Abraham Nunez. The 34-year-old Dominican infielder played a total of 1,030 games in the MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals between 1997 and 2008. The last two years he spent on the independent league circuit, playing for the Newark Bears and the New Jersey Jackals.
