The German second-division club Berlin Sluggers, which barely missed out on the opportunity to qualify for the Baseball-Bundesliga last fall, has added shortstop/first baseman Nat Pedley for the upcoming season. He is coming from Amherst College in Massachusetts, where he hit .293 (OBP .373/SLG .402) with one homerun, three triples, eleven doubles, 37 runs and 30 RBI in the past four years. He is expected to arrive at the end of March. Pedley’s teammate at Amherst, Michael Neff, is joining the Belgian club Brussels Kangaroos. The Sluggers are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.
