The Belgian Series between the PORT OF ANTWERP GREYS (formerly known as Royal Greys) and the HOBOKEN PIONEERS continues this weekend with games two and three of the best-of-five series. The GREYS won the first match 5-0 behind a strong performance of starter Dan Howard.
On Saturday Dennis Van Hoof will square off with Brett Diamond on the home field of the defending champion. On Sunday we’ll see probably the rematch of game one between Howard and Kenny Vandenbranden.
The PIONEERS need to get the rust of their bats to come back, after just one meaningful game in the past few weeks, as they were waiting for the beginning of the championship series. The GREYS had the European Cup Qualifier, but since then they are in a similar position. But with taking the important opener last weekend, they moved into the familiar role as favorite.
