Beckman to coach Konica Minolta Pioniers

We are still in catching-up mode for a few news in European Baseball following the Baseball World Cup. Already on September 9th Rogier van Zon reported on Honkbalsite.com that the 58-year-old Canadian Bernie Beckman will coach the Dutch Hoofdklasse club KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS next year. He leaves league rival RCH MEDIA MONKS. He also worked as head coach for KINHEIM between 1999 and 2002 and was a pitching coach for the Toronto Blue Jays organization a few years back. Beckman succeeds Frank Koene at the helm in Hoofddorp, who led the team into the Holland Series this season, where they lost against DOOR NEPTUNUS.
