Bautista saves Fortitudo with Single in 10th

After a layoff of about ten days without real competition the leader in the Italian Baseball League had some problems to get their offense started against seventh-ranked GODO. FORTITUDO needed a walk off RBI single by Ryner Bautista in the bottom of the tenth to celebrate a 3-2 victory.
DE ANGELIS had tied the game in the top of the eighth and force extra innings through a bases loaded walk by Danilo Sanchez. However they failed to score more to complete a potential upset, as they left three men on base, after getting thrown out at the plate on a squeeze bunt and a strikeout.
Juan Angrisano hit a homerun for BOLOGNA.
Jesus Matos (BOL) pitched seven solid innings, allowing one run on seven hits. Ryan Baerlocher (GOD) opposed him, going six innings, while giving up three hits, two runs and two walks. Fabio Milano picked up the win with 2 2/3 innings of relief. Kyle Collina took the loss despite striking out six in 3.1 innings pitched.

CARIPARMA built up a 4-0 lead after six innings and stopped a RANGERS rally in the end right in time to secure a 5-3 win. Michele Gerali had two hits and two RBI. Riccardo Bertagnon also went two-for-four with two runs scored. Johnny Carvajal scored twice for REDIPUGLIA.
Mercado pitched seven strong innings for the win. He gave up just one unearned run on two hits in seven innings. George Delgado took the loss in his start for the RANGERS. He allowed seven hits, four runs (3 ER) and two base on balls in six innings.
