According to Baseball-Reference.com the Baseball tournament at the South American Games got canceled after only Colombia, Argentina and the Netherlands Antilles submitted their participation. The 9th edition of the South American Games will be held in Medellin, Colombia. Baseball was supposed to be played between March 22 and March 27. The Antillean team was preparing for the event since weeks, even playing a pair of exhibition games against professional players on Curacao.
