The Merksem Royal Greys (22-4) blanked the Borgerhout Squirrels (9-17) in a pair of games last week to stay atop the Belgium League. Merksem took the opening game 5-0 before claiming a 10-0 victory to complete the sweep.
The Mortsel Stars (20-6) kept pace with the league leaders with two easy 9-0 wins against the Antwerp Eagles (3-23) as the Stars remain in the hunt for the league title.
In a battle for the No.3 seed, the Braaschaat Braves (17-9) split a pair of games with the Hoboken Pioneers (15-11) last weekend. The Braves earned a 4-2 win in the first game before the Pioneers ‘ bats came alive in the second game to earn a 6-1 victory.
