Austrian Baseball League starts into Second Half of Season
After the signing of Carter Clements the MOSQUITO ATHLETICS also acquired fellow American Mike Gehringer from league rival STOCK CITY CUBS during the league break and hopes to stay in the top four of the reminder of the Austrian Baseball League season, which will resume their schedule this weekend. ATTNANG-PUCHHEIM is facing the LINZ BANDITS on Sunday.
Leader UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS are on the road against the DORNBIRN INDIANS. The two clubs from Vienna, the METROSTARS and the SUPERFUND WANDERERS also have to travel. Especially the 2007 champion needs a good start into the second half of the year, as they are finding themselves only in fifth place, three games behind the last playoff spot.
