The Kufstein Vikings introduced a new head coach. The Australian Todd FAIRBROTHER is going to replace Roland EIDHERR. The 36-year-old is a former pitcher and first baseman, who played in Australia and in semi-pro clubs in the United States. He returned to his home country in 2002 to become a fulltime coach. He will be responsible for all teams of the Vikings.

Kufstein had a 12-12 record during the regular season 2007. They reached the playoffs as a fourth-place seed and defeated the Superfund Wanderers in the semi-finals to advance into the finals. They lost the series against the Vienna Metrostars to finish in second place of the Austrian Baseball League.
