The promoted Dutch Hoofdklasse club ALMERE MAGPIES has signed the Australian infielder Mitchell Graham. They announced the acquisition on their website. The 23-year-old joins the American infielder Michael Parker as the second foreign newcomer on the roster for the 2010 season.
Graham signed with the Philadelphia Phillies organization in 2003. One year later he made his debut in the Gulf Coast League. However in 2005 an accident with three teammates in Florida led to serious injuries, which eventually ended his hopes for the big leagues. Last summer Graham played for the Edmonton Capitals in the independent Golden League. Currently he is playing for Perth Heat in Australia.
