Posted on September 14, 2010 by philipp

The Atlanta Braves will continue their Baseball Academy and Instructional League on Tenerife according to a report on the website of the Canary Baseball and Softball Federation website. The new agreement was signed by the city of Puerto de la Cruz, the Royal Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation and the Canary Federation and now only is pending the final approval of the Canary Government.

Just recently a training camp with a total of 47 players between ages 15 and 18 from Spain, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Russia and Venezuela took place in Tenerife. It was split into two parts. In the first phase, work-outs, fitness and strength tests were scheduled. An instructional league format with six games followed in the second phase.
