Another Dutch player has reached the big leagues. The Atlanta Braves called up top prospect Andrelton Simmons to replace Tyler Pastornicky at short. He is expected to make his Major League debut on Friday, when the Braves open their series against the Washington Nationals. The 22-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2012 draft and quickly moved up the ladder, flashing a high regarding glove. This year he played at Double-A Mississippi in the Southern League and batted .292/.372/.421 in 43 games.
