Athletics and Tigers open their schedule in ABL

The MOSQUTIO ATHLETICS ATTNANG-PUCHHEIM and the SCHWAZ TIGERS open their schedule this week with games against the INDIANS and the METROTSTARS. Both had a bye on the first game day, as the ballpark in Attnang-Puchheim wasn’t ready after renovations.

The A’s were ranked third in last year’s campaign and they hope for the same result this season. They rely mostly on slugger Arian Quirantes and the Canadian first baseman Dave Burns offensive wise. Walter Strasser and Wolfgang Strini lead their pitching staff. They travel to Dornbirn on Sunday to face the INDIANS, who lost their opener last weekend against the WANDERERS in Vienna.

The TIGERS with Jose Castillo Oreja up in front, hope for a successful start versus the METROSTARS, who won the title in Austria last season and also swept the LINZ BANDITS on opening day.
