ASD Rimini has signed a former Major Leaguer. Ray Olmedo will be their new shortstop. The 33-year-old Venezuelan switch hitter looks back at 218 games in Major League Baseball with the Cincinnati Reds, Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox. This winter he is playing for Aguilas in the Venezuelan Winter League. He will be the second foreign player on the Rimini roster besides Alex Romero.
