Arizona Diamondbacks with European Tryout on September 2 in Tirrenia, Italy

The Arizona Diamondbacks are proud to announce that they will hold their first ever open tryout in Europe, marking an important occasion for young European players to showcase their talent in front of the team’s Major League scouts and executives: Chad MacDonald, Director of International Scouting, and Renè Saggiadi, European Scouting Supervisor.

The event will take place starting at 9 am at the Italian Olympic Preparation Center (CONI Center) in Tirrenia, Italy, on September 2nd. All European players born after January 1st 1988 are welcome to attend.

All participants, catchers in particular, are advised to bring their own gear (there will be a dressing room available). While all players who will show up by 9 am on September 2nd will be allowed to participate, attendees are kindly requested to anticipate their presence, as well as directing any inquiry they may have, to rsaggiadi@dbacks.com
