Andy Fleischacker new Head Coach of Italian Club Avigliana Baseball

The 39-year-old American Andy Fleischacker is going to become the new head coach of the Italian Serie B club Avigliana Baseball. He will start his new position in January 2011. He already had coached and played in Italy before. In the past two years he was the head coach of the German Baseball-Bundesliga club Solingen Alligators, which he led to two semi-finals appearances and the win of the European Cup Qualifier this season. Avigliana last played in the Italian Baseball League in 2007. This year the Bees had a 14-16 record in the Federal Championship in Italy, good for fourth place out of six teams in Group A of the Serie B.
