The voting for the 2011 All-Star Game in the Italian Baseball League has started. Fans can cast their vote on FIBS.it, selecting the starting lineup, which will face the Italian National Team in the first-ever IBL All-Star Game on July 1st in Nettuno. Gilberto Gerali of last year’s champion Cariparma Parma was chosen to be the manager. He also will select the nine pitchers for the game and name the reserves. The festivities also feature a home run derby, which is sponsored by Italian bat manufacture “Mine”. The voting is open until June 12.
