Besides two teams the German Baseball-Bundesliga has the weekend off. However due to the European Cup Qualifier in June, the Solingen Alligators have re-scheduled their doubleheader with the Dortmund Wanderers to Monday afternoon. The Alligators, which lead the northern division with a 12-2 record after the first half of the regular season, won the first two games of the season series by scores of 8-3 and 1-0. Especially the second match was a hard-fought pitcher’s duel between Josh Rickards (SOL) and Matt Kemp (DOW). Dortmund showed signs of improvement recently, having won the last three games in a row, while out-scoring their opponents 24-2.
