In a rain-shortened game on Wednesday the ORKAS lost 1-6 in five innings against the BRAVOS. Robert Vazquez and Blake Ochoa homered for the guest squad. Carlos Amaro allowed just one hit, one run and two walks in 4 2/3 innings to hold the ALB down. The European flavored club only put one run on the board through a solo homerun by Gerson Manzanillo. Gabriel Montero and Daniel Bittar were the only other ORKAS players on base.
Nelson Santander got the start for the BBC. He gave up four hits, five runs and three base on balls in 4 2/3 innings. He also hit two batters and threw a wild pitch. Carlos Farias relieved him and conceded here hits and a run before finally retiring a batter to end the top of the fifth.

On Friday the ORKAS lost a pitcher’s duel against the TIGRES and dropped to a game under .500 (14-15-2) in the standings. ARAGUA needed only a run by Yonder Rodriguez in the top of the fifth through a RBI by Juan Sanchez to decide the outcome. Jhon Will Garcia (W 4-1) struck out nine in six two-hit innings to pick up his fourth win of the season. Relievers Argenis Tovar and Ja Garcia added six more strikeouts in the remaining three frames to complete the combined two-hitter.
Only Israel Diaz and Jose Aponte had hits for the struggling offense of the ALB. Gabriel Montero reached on a walk. Kevin Alarcon (L 0-1) was charged with five hits, a run and three bb in 4 2/3 innings, striking out four. His ERA now stands at 7.11. Jurjen van Zijl pitched struck out and walked one in two scoreless innings of relief.
