European Player Showcase
USA Baseball National Training Complex – Cary, North Carolina
Sunday November 8, 2009
21 of the top junior national team players from Holland, Italy, Germany and France will showcase their skills in front of college recruiters and professional scouts at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina on November 8.
Nov. 8 Schedule:
11:30am Scout Day activities run by the MLB Scouting Bureau: 60-yd; grade defense/arms for INF, OF, catchers; followed by batting practice.
1:15pm Game vs. Pitt Community College (12-inning game) PCC is a very successful program from Greenville, NC (see additional PCC info below)
The junior national team coaches for Holland and Italy, Brian Farley and Bill Holmberg, will be on hand as well. All 21 players:
France: Quentin Becquey, Maxime Charlot, Maxime Lefevre, Joris Navarro
Germany: Shawn Larry, Enzo Muschik
Italy: Francesco Cozzolino, Stefano DeSimone, Erik Gelli, Elia Pasquali, Marco Sabbatini, Alex Sambucci, Valerio Simone
Holland: Reggie Bomberg, Mourik Huijser, Kevin Weijgertse, Brian Eradus, Bjorn Hato, Aschwin Rokx, Michael Pluijmers, Lars Molenar
Note: Each European player has all four years of eligibility remaining.
