European Cup and Cupwinners Cup
The Softball European Cup tournaments were again split in the usual European Cup for the national champions and the Cupwinners Cup. Ten teams each played in two Italian cities for the two trophies. In Legnano the Austrian club Dornbirn Sharx defeated the Russian Carousel Bosco Sport 1-0 in the championship game to win the event. In Parma the Dutch team Terrasvogels beat the Czech champion SK Joudrs Prague.
