2009 in Review – Belgian First Division – Mortsel Stars

Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic , Sweden, Austria and France we will continue with the Belgian First Division.

2009 Ranking: Sixth place in Belgian First Division after regular season. During the playdowns they picked up victories in each of the eight games against Borgerhout, Merchtem and Brussels to finish with a perfect 8-0 record.

Best Batter: Joseph Troxell. He batted .391 (OBP .454/SLG .494) with one triple, seven doubles, 27 runs scored and 15 RBI in 101 plate appearances.
