2009 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Schwaz Tigers



Even though we already started the year 2010, we will continue to look back at the 2009 season in Europe’s elite leagues. After the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden, we will continue with the Austrian Baseball League.

Schwaz Tigers

2009 Record: 15-13
2009 Ranking: 3rd place in Austrian Baseball League after regular season. The Tigers defeated the MOSQUITO Athletics in five games during the semi-final round and reached the Austrian Finals, where they got swept by the SUPERFUND Wanderers in three games.
Runs Scored: 225
Runs Allowed: 168

Best Batter: Peter Nagiller. He batted .446 (OBP .611/SLG .569) with one homerun, five doubles, 34 runs scored and 16 RBI in 24 games.
Best OPS: Peter Nagiller 1.180

Most RBI: Franz Haisjackl 34
Most Runs Scored: Peter Nagiller 34
