Dutch Women Softball National Team on another US-Trip to prepare for Olympics
After a successful trip to the California and Hawaii in February/March and the disappointment about the cancelled European Championship in May, the Dutch Women Softball National Team is off to another trip to the United States. This time they will travel to Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio.
They started on last Sunday May 25th and opened training camp in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After three days of practice, the squad began their exhibition schedule of twelve games against three NPF teams. They lost the first two against the PHILADELPHIA FORCE 4-6 (box score) and 2-5 (box score). They will play two more against the same team this weekend.
After another week of practices they will move on to Rockford, Illinois on June 9, play four against the ROCKFORD THUNDER and close out their trip with four matches versus the AKRON RACERS in Akron, Ohio from June 18 to June 21. Afterwards the team returns to the Netherlands.
