The two current leaders in the Dutch Hoofdklasse DOOR NEPTUNUS and L&D AMSTERDAM will face each other this week in a three-game series. The PIRATES have the best offense so far with 77 runs scored. NEPTUNUS leads the league in defense with just 25 runs allowed. Which will prevail in the next couple of days?
Last year’s champion is going to send out Nick Stuifbergen (1-1, ERA 5.40), Adam Blackley (2-0, ERA 0.96) and Jos De Jong (0-1, ERA 3.24) to the mound. The team from Rotterdam will counter with Diegomar Markwell (2-0, ERA 1.82), Kevin Heijstek (2-1, ERA 2.31) and probably Jurjen van Zijl (1-0, ERA 2.63).
All series start tonight at 7.45pm CET and will continue on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm, respective 1pm.
